Monday, 25th January, 2021 at midday
+ Our January outing is on Monday, 25th, the day before the Aust Day Holiday. This will a busy time as Xmas holidays end with an unofficial long weekend. So, no big Australia Day function for us. But, for those of us still ready for a Probus get-together, I’ve arranged a Club Lunch at Charlestown Bowling Club Bistro at midday. This Club’s Gourmet Menu is tantalizing with a price range from $12 to $30. We can meet in 1 or 2 groups in their huge Bistro area.  I have to book exact numbers in by January 1st . So, if you & your partner would like a Probus communal lunch on OZ Day, get your name in the Red Book today or at our Xmas Party or by contacting me before the end of this year. No pre-payment required but the commitment in the Red Book must be fulfilled so that an area can be reserved for us.
+ Remember that our Online BSB Payment System has not changed: BSB No. 032510; Acct No:750123; Probus Club of Belmont; Add Surname & Event. Or Bring the correct amount in cash or cheque in an envelope with all your details to our monthly meeting.

Men’s Probus Belmont
Monthly Social Events
For 2020

+ Nov, Mon 23rd , Men’s Cruise on ‘William the Fourth’ is still booked so more details later as things settle!
+ Dec, Mon 21st , Xmas Party at Charlestown Bowling Club: that date is still booked by us so let’s hope the 16s Club is back to normal & it will go ahead. We will all have to try & make it a great celebration of our survival of 2020!!!!
+ This email is mailed to those not using a computer so all members are informed. I’m sure you understand why there are still “may be” on some of these events. Final details will be emailed or phoned.
+ This morning (Friday) the Covid news for NSW is that rules for big events have been tightened (smaller numbers, seated only with no mingling, singing or dancing). Therefore, our club needs more SMALL EVENTS like our Walking Group or Craft Beer Group Or Thursday Lunch Group or Bowls Group or Ad Hoc neighbourly Coffee & Chat groups that have grown up. Any member or their partner can start one up & they will be supported by our Probus Management C’ttee. Here are some examples of small groups that exist in other Probus clubs: Cards, Games (scrabble/chess/Cluedo), Fishing, Photography, Books, Golfers, Wine Appreciation, Vintage/Classic Cars, Songsters, Cyclers, Park Picnickers, Car Rally Enthusiasts, Rugby Union Appreciation (I made that one up!!!) Why not start one up now & let me know about it?
+ I need an Assistant Social Director who can get involved now & take over in 2021 with mentoring from me ( if requested). Give me a ring with your commitment or suggestion.
Yours in Friendship, Fellowship, Fun (& continuing Good Health)
